    Hello,

I am trying to create a backup of my hard drive. I started with ThinkVantage->Rescue and Recovery->Backup your hard drive->Create a backup to CDs/DVDs.

I was able to create the first CD labelled as "Rescue and Recovery Startup Disk". After this, the process never went further, and the computer simply silently stayed there after a period of hard drive reading (because the hard drive indicator blinks). I waited over 30 minutes. I repeated this whole thing three times and each time was the same thing.

Did anybody have this problem too? Did I do something wrong?

I am trying to create the first backup of my new T61 (T7500) and no other software is installed yet except factory-installed.

    Thanks a ton!

I have seen this qn asked before, but can not remember what options were suggested. Hopefully, others can help.

Anyway, I wonder were you a bit too soon in aborting the process at 30 mins each time?

As far as I recall, each of my dvd backups took about 45 mins to perform.
