    3. Any Ideas for killing the dust inside pc?
    4. Any Other Ideas Are Welcomed!

My Warrenty Died on 06/12/05 or something. I had the 2 year on the battery so does this mean Battery can be replaced? Used 2 hold 6.1 Hours, Now it will hold 4-5.

    Thanks!

    1, 2, & 3 Can of compressed air.

Two years on the battery would be unusual.

My suggestion for your first problem is to head over to the thinkpads.com forums and see if the Thinkpad Fan Control utility will work for your laptop.

It sounds like the bearing in the fan motor took a crap. The fan should be a single part that can be ordered for a pretty small amount. Probably under 15-20 bucks.

the fan is accessed by removing the keyboard! 2 or 3 screws on the bottom and you have to slide the keyboard up before prising it up to open it.
