    I just ordered a T410. :p I'll get a tablet next time. ;)

Estimated ship date is 4/13 (crosses fingers). :)

I wanted to get an x201 or x200 tablet, but I've been waiting and waiting for Lenovo to refund me the returned U150, and that would have given me enough. I got tired of waiting and not having my own computer, and really I'd like to have an arrandale system. ;)
    Wish me luck. :D

Well I woke up this morning to find an email that my T410 has shipped! :D I'm really surprised since I just ordered it 5 days ago. My Intel SSD arrived today along with my ultrabay travel cover, so I'm good to go when my T410 arrives. :)
I can't wait! :D I wonder why it was so fast to ship though, not that I'm complaining or anything, just is a far cry from all the delays people were experiencing.

that was fast. Sometimes the laptop you order are already prebuilt and waiting to be shipped, then this can speed up the delivery process quite considerably. Or you are just a lucky person.

I'm hoping I'm just lucky. :p I suppose I'll be able to find out when I get it. If it has a manufactured date before April 2, then it's pre-built. :\

I have a question though. I got 2 email confirmations about 16 minutes apart saying my order has shipped. Which is kind of strange. Looking in the tabook though, it says "Positioning: Premiere performance; two spindles". Not sure what that means, 2 spindle. Will it come in 2 boxes then?

This is the normal shipping time with Lenovo if they do not have any shortage on parts. I still remembered the time when people ordered a T61 and got it after 5 days when they placed the order.

And FYI, I ordered my T410 on Apr 1 and also got a shipping notification this morning. But I don't expect it to be delivered till next Monday.

I got three email notifications once, and one time i got none, the courier just turned up at my front door with the laptop. I then checked Lenovo online order status, it was still showing that the payment was been processed.

Traditionally, a spindle refers to a storage device such as a DVD-ROM or a hard drive (each of which contains a rotating mechanism, a.k.a. spindle). A 1-spindle system is a laptop that contains a disk drive but no optical drive, and a 2-spindle system is a laptop that contains both a disk drive and an optical drive. In the old old days, a 3-spindle system may also come with a floppy drive.

Nowadays we have fancy storage devices that contain no rotating parts (e.g., SSDs), but the n-spindle name kind of stuck. So there you go. I am pretty sure the computer will come in a single box.

You might be lucky, maybe someone call in to cancel the order and you order the same spec.
