    Aftermarket battery for my R61?

    I bought an R61 recently (14.1) with the bigger battery and it sticks out a bit (maybe an inch). I want to get a sleeve that fits perfectly for my R61 so I think for some situations id rather have the smaller 4 cell style battery. Any recommendations on a new battery, or should I just go directly from lenovo?

    edit: What about this battery that sits in the CD drive slot?

    Your best bet is to get an OEM battery on EBAY(you can save 25-30%).
    The ultrabay battery should be used as a supplemental one and it's only good depending on usage and setup for ~1 hour.

    The ultra bay battery is more so suited for adding supplemental power as opposed to being the main power source. It tends to have lower recharge cycles and consequently shorter lifespan. But in combination with the lower profile batttery it should meet your power needs. I agree with steve p, get an authentic replacement on ebay. Stay away from the aftermarket batteries, those almost always turn out to be inadequate/inferior.

    Damn, I wish I had just bought the slim + the normal 4 cell when I originally purchased the laptop. O well. I think at this point I may just wait for a good deal to comeup on a 4 cell OEM, I can always keep the 6 in a bag when I know ill need it.

    Whats the best notebook sleeve for the 14.1 inch R61? I searched and found recommendations for the 15, but nothing specially for the 14. Id like one that fits as tight as possible, or maybe one that fits as tight as possible while still being able to accomodate the 6 cell.
