    Anyone using RAM with heat spreaders in the T61 (14-inch especially)? Is it a pretty tight fit?

    You are better off without heat spreaders on laptop ram. Heat spreaders in a laptop do not work. Could be because of no air circulation around ram or something else.
    Stick to regular ram sticks. Less aggravation.

    Heatspreaders are impractical for notebooks. Normal RAM can sufficiently cool itself.

    Yes, just like the others said. I actually read that heat spreaders can cause more heat issues than help them.

    and some times they don't fit into the space
