    Aftermarket Blu-Ray Drive in W530?

    How hard would it be to put in an aftermarket Blu-Ray drive for a W530? Main problem I'm thinking would be the bezel, correct? Anybody have/want to make a parts list for this?

    I believe it's been done. The R500 came with a 12.7mm Blu-ray drive. That may be worth a look.

    So you're saying i should just see if I could find a R500 drive? I'll have to look at that.

    What if i were to purchase something like this? Could i just take the bezel off the OEM DVD drive and put it on the bluray drive? Would the eject button function?

    That's an interesting idea. Here is a youtube video I found on how to do it.

    I've been waiting for thin external Blu-Ray drives to come out that use USB 3.0, so that only one cable is necessary (instead of 2x USB 2.0 cables). I found one made by the company NU, but haven't found any reviews on it.
