This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     After Clean install, Vista Freezes

    After doing a clean install of 32-bit Vista Ultimate on my T61p, I am getting intermittent freezes whenever I connect my external USB hard drive... any ideas?

    I installed in the order of Stallen's post:

    1 - intel chipset
    2 - turbo mem/active matrix
    3 - wireless
    4 - etc etc
