Bummer. I literally just received and opened a brand new T61p, 15.4" WSXGA+, 2.6GHz, 4MB RAM, Vista Business 64, 160GB HD, nearly completed installing Word, etc. and noticed that my "W" key on the keyboard sticks. Given that nearly every web page starts with "www", it's not really practical to live with. Has anyone ever dealt with keys that stick down? Could be a bad spring, could just be rubbing badly. Does anyone have any ideas if there's an easy way to unstick keys or do I need a new KB? I just got that dang thing and I hate to ship it back. I'd prefer to install it myself if they sent a new one. Any advice?

    Thanks for your help.

btw--otherwise the machine is fantastic. Very fast. Good screen.

Give them a call. They will send you a new keyboard ASAP. You should get it in 2-3 days.

You can pop the W key off and blow into it or see if anything is under there.

BTW--do you know if replacing the KB would void the warranty?

To get it replaced by Lenovo? No, that should not void warranty. Just call and request a new one and once you receive it, send your old one back.

Agreed, but I meant would I void the warranty to replace the KB myself?

you should also have them check into that "4 mb" of RAM

they might have short changed you just a TAD.

Not if you install the keyboard that Lenovo sends to you

I called Lenovo support and they're shipping me a new KB overnight. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quickness of their response. Thanks for the help.

What kind of warranty did you buy?
