    I had originally planned on buying a netbook but came across this deal locally. It looks to be a great deal and the seller seems to be on the up and up.

    Specs:

    * 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo CPU T7500
    * 4Gb RAM
    * 15.4" WSXGA+ 1680x1050 display
    * Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M 128Mb RAM
    * 160Gb Hard Drive
    * Brand new 9 cell Lenovo battery (worth $180)
    * Spare 9 cell battery
    * DVDRW drive
    * Fingerprint reader
    * Intel 802.11abg Wireless
    * Bluetooth
    * Fresh install of Windows Vista with latest updates
    * Type 6461-DU3
    * Warranty until Aug 2011

    He's asking $550. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

    Well just to give you an idea.

    Last week I bought a NEW t61u with a t9300 cpu and 3 year warranty for $670 from tirgerdirect with bing.com 10% cash back. I upgraded from a t20 I had bought new in 2000. Slapped in 4 gig ram and I'm a happy camper now.

    Couldn't justify nearly double price for a t500 with near same specs. SSD drive speed limit is not an issue for me since I rarely transfer large files.

    good luck

    Check the outlet or when there are sales. You can often getting pretty decent deals on T series...

    That will give you an idea of just how much cheaper that CL deal is for you and whether it is worth buying or not.

    That price seems fair if the laptop is in good condition.

    I got in on that $667 deal 2 months ago and did the same 4gb upgrade. Works great so far and I got my $117 bing cash in my checking account last week. :D
