Is it possible to run a TV tuner card using an advanced dock? I have a t400 running vista.

Is there a reason why a USB or Expresscard tuner (e.g. Hauppauge) wouldn't work?

I have a couple of different USB tuners and I just dont like the picture quality and the lag when changing channels or using the video in. Havent tried any Express card tuners yet

If not a PCIe card, how about a x1300 all in wonder

The ATI TV Wonder HD 600 PCIe works without any problems in Vista using the dock. Picture quality still sucks but it doesn't suffer from lag like USB tuners Ive tried.

usb tuners use your CPU to do all the hardware works, which is why it is cheaper and the picture quality is so bad.

Lol I'll sell you my AVermedia A301 Mini-PCIe card if you want, fitted right in my old T61p, nice and integrated, has it's own decoder.
