Admins,
I want to tell you right here and now, DO NOT EVER REVISE MY POSTS, If you want to mod something then delete it and thats that. But do not insult America and Free speach by posting comments in my name, Its not funny and If you keep it up expect to be taken to court over it. You have no right to change my comments in a public space and represent them as my words.. You are on notice

this isnt public space. its their domain, their forum. and i bet by signing up for the forum, you agreed to it.
so quit being a baby , or leave the forums -
paOol, he's right. They have every right to delete it - but to modify his writing without marking it as modified is pretty scummy. I don't think it was done on purpose, however, since the mods here seem to be decent enough people.

They usually do not modify your writing. Like for example, they do not add words that the poster did not write.
What they do is delete/censor certain words or sentences, but like I said before, they do not write extra words to the person's statement.
And no offense, but this is THEIR domain, that they paid hard earned money for. They have every right (even in the US constitution) to edit or do whatver they want to it. You don't like it, or agree with the rules, then please go somewhere else.
Just like if you come into MY home, I have every right to kick you out of it if I so choose. Please tell me that there's a law in America that prevents a home/property owner from kicking/banning people out of their property? Ever heard of tresspassing?
And don't worry about this, you won't be around for longer to post threads and worry about them editing them.
Btw, when you signed up here you agreed to certain terms. And in those terms it states that you agree to follow all the rules and regulations and allow the admins to rule. Good luck taking anyone to court when you yourself said "yes I agree with ur terms" but didn't actually and want to take them to court for. -
Adinu, I agree. I don't know of them doing that - modifying posts. If they have, however, you must admit it's kinda wrong. Legal, sure. Right? Not-so-much. Censoring the F bomb is fine... changing it to fruck or fluck, etc, that's cool. Changing a post around for other reasons is kinda uncool.

Interesting that you would post this in the Lenovo forums... Seems like there are better places to have your concern heard.

yes i agree, its the internet, not the newspapers. If they modified your posts i bet it was for a good reason. All the administrators here are pretty laid back.
-
But yes, they usually do it for a reason, to protect the integrity of this site, and by all means they have every right to it seeing as how it's their site and every single member here agreed to abide by their rules when they signed up.
What I think would be really funny is if some admin came in and edited his entire post and only left the B at the end of his statement. I'd laugh my ass off. -

The moderators may modify any post they see fit to modify, including deleting the post, the entire thread, or even banning the poster, either temporarily or permanently. It is in the job description.
Generally, a modified post will include an email or private message (PM) if the user has allowed those avenues.
Regardless, it shows poor judgment to publicly post on this issue; take it up with the moderators off-line. -
Brusso99 This are the terms you agreed to when registering at notebookreview.com:

Lol Braddd, very nice detective work.

Please read the forum rules. NBR reserves the right to edit posts that are offensive, vulgar, use cursing language, posting something illegal, spammed advertisements, or anything like fixing a broken link.
If you do not like it, I am sorry. Free speech is definitely allowed on these forums, as long as it is not offensive/vulgar/anything against forum rules. We do not edit posts merely because we disagree with you.
