Due to a misunderstanding in the ordering , my T60 has arrived with only 512Kb of memory.
I want to upgrade this to 2GB's .
I understand that the palm rest and the keyboard have to be removed in order to do this .
I am pretty happy getting inside desktops but have never attempted any " surgery " with laptops .
How practical an operation would this be for the ordinary DIY PC bloke ?
Comments from those who have this experience would be a great help

There are four screws on the bottom to remove then pop off the palm rest.

Lenovo (IBM) always have some instruction movies how to do that. Go here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-63959

The hardest part is probably popping the palm rest back on and it's not that difficult at all if you follow the instructions on the manual.

On a scale of 1 to 10 .It is a 2 or lower .Did my T60 a few weeks ago .The hardest thing to do is to put the Ram in at 45 degree angle.
Adding memory to a T60 - How tricky is it ?
