    Hello,

a friend of mine wants to replace his old Ultrabay Enhanced DVD-ROM in his R50 (IPS Flexview) with a DVD-RW drive. Now his question is, if it would be possible to use the OEM LG GSA-T20N DVD-RW drive without front bezel (also used in factory IBM Ultrabay drives) and take the front bezel and the caddy from the old drive.

Did someone try this before? If yes, did it work?

    Thank you
