I just upgraded from 4GB to 8GB, and I noticed my SSD dropped from 8.5GB free to 5GB free. Why does this happen?? I already had my page file (virtual memory) usage set to specified limits (512GB-2GB), so that can't be the issue.

Do you have the hibernation enabled? If so, I suspect it's hiberfil.sys file which has the default size of 75% of total RAM.

Doesn't pagefile increase once you add more ram? I didn't know if it did automatically or not.
