I'm new to the concept of SSD.

I just replaced my 128 GB OCZ Octane S2 ( I don't know what was going with it, but i would hang for 20 seconds after typing in my Login password all of sudden)

Anyways, I noticed that the 2 SSDs combined into 1. First when I was using my Recovery disks, it should 1 64 GB SSD and 1 256 SSD. The installation failed and I had to reboot.

After the reboot I could no longer choose one or the other, I only had one massive 300 GB SSD.

    Questions:

Any1 know if it's got a RAID 0 thing going?

Would I benefit more from just using my 256 GB SSD alone? (IN term of Speed)

    *P.S

My temps for my cpu and GPU never go above 72 Degrees Celsius, when I took the SSD out after being idled for the whole day, it was very hot.....very hot.

From reading most SSDs have a running temp of under 70 Degrees Celsius I can see now why ppl are getting a little concerned....what a stupid position for a SSD...they could've put some extra insulation.

I love this laptop, but in terms of build quality it's absolutely low grade. I never thought I could find a tier build than my old m11x (even the m14x wasn't GREAT or my Qosmio X300 (tacky bulky and pure cheap plastic for 2000$))

This is truly the Japan laptop lol. Cheap exterior Serious Hard ware :p
