As I was customising my new X40 I can across this nice desktop "background" from IBM (http://www.pc.ibm.com/ww/thinkpad/community/download.html).

What I liked about it is that it shows actively when you are connected wirelessly, battery power, HD space and ethernet connection just on the desktop.

I haven't seen anything like this before - most of the "widgets" or whatever that I see for the Stardock DesktopX stuff is mostly useless.

    However...

I can't get it to understand when I have mail ready to read. I'm using standard outlook so I would have thought it would have been easy.

    Am I missing something?
Am I the only one to really like this little desktop?
Is there a way to edit this so I can make the mail work?

    Thanks,
    Naresh.
