    Hi,
I've just upgraded my R61 to Win7 Ultimate last nite. I've just noticed that APS icon disappears on control panel and I have no way to access the status.
The TPShock is running and APS show up in Add/Remove program section but not in control panel.
I have re-install APS many times but nothing change. Try to search the web but found nothing that works.
    Any help would be great.

APS still works, it's just not in your task bar. Go to Lenovo Thinkvantage Tools near the top of the All Programs list in the start menu and you can control it from there. At least that's how it is on computers that ship with Win 7.

That's where I expected it to be too. But I only have Power Manager in that...

You could also try accessing it by right-clicking the Taskbar>Toolbars>ThinkVantage Tools

The only Lenovo thing showing on Taskbar>Toolbars is ThinkVantage Toolbox

BTW, anyone know the location of the exe? Maybe I can launch it manually. I've looked at C:\Program Files\ThinkPad\TpShocks but found only dlls.

OK. Open ThinkVantage Toolbox. Then from the options/ selections select System Health. Under that, select Hard Drive Status. Within that you should get 3 options, one of which will say "Active Protection System Settings". Click on that. That should take you to what you are looking for.

Let us know if you find it. Cheers!

Wow.... Thanks a lot... it's there! Thanks a lot!
Originally, I don't have the toolbox install but the APS only. It's weird since I use pretty much nothing in the Toolbox but there's no way u can adjust APS without installing the toolbox. APS icon used to be in the Control Panel but no more.

Glad to be of some help. One thing though - I have a clean install of Win 7 Pro on my Thinkpad and under the Control Panel, the APS does show up, but it does so under the following heading: "Lenovo's AirBag Protection". Look again, maybe you can find it in there.
