    Hey guys and gals,

Before when I had Active protection System (APS) installed...my video would skip when the notebook was moving around or if i bounced on the bed..as it should be doing (since it is stopping the HD from spinning when activated)

however, now it never seems to do that...i can shake my computer all around and the video still plays smoothly...I am afraid the APS is not working anymore as a result of this....the system tray icon shows the little pause sympol and turns yellow, however the video keeps playing...what is up with this?

    thanks for your input

nevermind...it was because i had it set up for auto-ignore repetitive shocks such as those experienced on a train or on the road

    lol..that is quite funny

I wonder if the accelerometer is built into the HD or is a separate component in itself
