Has anyone had a ThinkPad replaced outright under accidental damage warranty? Like, it was damaged to a point that it cost less to get the unit replaced with a newer one than to repair it?

I've heard this is something Dell does often. Does Lenovo do this as well?

I think the same should apply to Lenovo...no sense in fixing a laptop that's taken a dive into the swimming pool.
