I was trying to burn a copy of the C:\SWTOOLS directory on my Vista Business install prior to doing a clean install of XP when I noticed that the following three files were denied access to the burning software:

    C:\SWTOOLS\SECURITY.EVTX
    C:\SWTOOLS\SETUP.EVTX
    C:\SWTOOLS\SYSTEM.EVTX

Is this going to cause a problem if I ever need to restore the system to the factory original Vista Business install using this copy of the SWTOOLS folder?

Or can I just ignore this error?

    Thanks!

You won't be using that SWTOOLS folder during the restoration process. All that folder has are softwares/drivers that your computer had installed. Think of it as a backup folder for the programs and drivers on your system from when you first received it.

Hmm...I didn't know that...learn something new everyday, I guess. I hadn't messed with anything in that directory, wasn't quite sure what getting rid of it (or parts of it, for that matter) would effect.
