    Hi,

i have a T61 and i usually use it as a desktop replacemenet, ie., i do not move it too much.
So, recently i bought a large monitor and a set of usb-wireless keyboard/mouse, connect them to the machine and use them instead of laptop's keyboard/screen.

The only thing that i miss is the Fn-F5 that i used from the Thinkpad's keyboard and from there i was able to open/close the WiFi and Bluetooth.

Because the keyboard i am using know does not have an Fn key and i am forced to open the laptop to access this functionality, is there a way to do it without using T61's keyboard ?

The Thinkpad USB keyboard has all the same function keys as your T61 keyboard. No wireless version yet though. I use another version of this keyboard with my desktop, its great.

Lenovoblogs is talking about a wireless version though

    They are on ebay too.

he meant the only way to get Fn+F5 functionality form an external keyboard is via the thinkpad usb keyboard (and after installing the drivers for it)

I think that the Fn-Fx, runs a process. If i knew what the process is, i could place a shortcut on the desktop and run it just fine!

Welp download the driver. Look at how your notebook does it with the notebook keyboard. I am pretty sure you can do it. Thinkvantage has the link to control radios so you would just be creating a shortcut to that menu.

    Yeah that would work.
If your using vista look for this executable: AcFnF5.exe

On my Thinkpad X40 running windows xp it's this: TpFnF5.exe

A million thanks! That was it. I have Windows 7 and "TpFnF5.exe" is the correct one!

    Thanks again :)
