Anybody have preference for either for wireless? I've had conflict issues and have heard AC is better on functionality but Windows works better.

From what I remember reading on some threads here, most prefer the AC.. But I think you should remove the Symantec Suite first and install a different firewall and antivirus programs. I believe that is what most did. That is what I'm planning to do when I get my T60..

I have Symantec Antivirus & Zone Alarm. Before that I had the Symantec Antivirus & Firewall Suit and in both cases I had absolutely no conflict issue. I hate Norton, but in my opinion Symantec Antivirus is one of the best - least system resources, daily virus updates and does what its supposed to.
AC is a gazillion times better than Windoz connection features.. but only if you use AC at its full potential. I have configured it such that when I plug into the wired connection, it automatically disables the wireless. In my office space & home, it automatically sets the appropriate default printer, browser homepage and auto launches any application if you need so. At home it automatically dials my VPN. I love the ease of use and dependable functionality and AC is reviewed as the the Gold Standard that all other computer manufacturers are striving to acheive. In short I love AC...
But since it has so many features and integrates into the system, i can imagine it having issues with other connectivity applications, but if you have AC, you really don't need any other. -
Well, I read that some had issues with wireless with the preinstalled Symantec Suite. If the owner finds it useful and not causing problems with the wireless, very well. But then it's only free for 90 days. After spending a fortune for a Thinkpad, I'll opt for free alternative individual security softwares. I hate security suites because, in most cases, they are bloated.
It's good to hear, though, that Symantec is working for you. Whatever works! -
I would use AC, but it is no longer functional thanks to the Intel wireless drivers.

Are there wireless issues if I setup my wireless connections in "Access Connections" and also in the Windows Vista connections utility ?
Is it better to set up the connections using "Access Connections" and not in the Windows Vista connections utility, or vice versa ?
Also, I have been getting a pop-up box with the following error message "ThinkVantage Access Connections Cannot Run On This Platform". I have uninstalled Access Connections and downloaded the latest Access Connections (for Vista) and reinstalled it and it still comes up with the message. Help...........! -
may be dumb question, but can I use AC in my XPS 1530 ??
cheers
