    Hi all,

I have an X61 and am trying to configure access connections for my home and work networks. My work requires that I be on a domain name to stay on their network. For that, I used the wired LAN connection. At home, I have a static IP on a wireless network. I have a home network that uses a workgroup name so I can share drives and resources. I have configured Lenovo's Access Connections program to easily switch between the two network profiles, but I cannot figure out a way that I can change the domain/workgroup so that I can share network drives et al. Suggestions?

it's under the computer name tab in system properties in vista.
but you haven't even stated what OS you're running

    Thanks for the quick reply!

No, I know how to change the domain and workgroup name. I don't know how to configure it through Access Connections so that I can use different profiles for work and home. It would somewhat defeat the purpose of the utility, if that for every time I came home I had to change the workgroup through the system, reboot (as is required), log-on, and then change my network profile. Isn't the whole point of the program to be able to change your ability to access your network at work, and then at home?

it might be doing this automatically
I'm at a coffee shop with wifi and my workgroup name is the default "workgroup"

but at home, I have a different one, and access connections automatically connects to both
