Is there anything that this program can do that XP's built in functions do not do?

just makes it easier to create new connection profiles, automatically detect and save/don't save a profile, use diagnostics, it's more specific as to why a connection fails, you can import/export connection profiles, more specific to % strength of connection (not just "excellent"/"very good"/"low" etc.) and more graphical.

you don't have to enter IP manually everytime you are trying to connect to that specific network, you don't have to manually change proxy settings everytime you change network, you dont have to manually executed VPN client, you dont have to manually set default printer.
so there are lot of advs. if you are moving between networks regularly.
