hi all,
just wondering, those who use Win7 and access connections, do you still have the list of profiles in Fn+F5? The list has gone since i installed the latest access connections (or, rather, the first access connections that officially supports win7), and now i'm left with only the tab where you can turn the wifi/bluetooth on/off.
thanks!

anyone? or does anyone have any suggestions to quick access of the profiles (apart from inside access connections and using the new taskbar - don't like it because its too wide)
-
sorry, after upgrading my ThinkPad from XP to win7, I didn't reinstall Access Connections. Perhaps if I need to develop a number of different profiles, I may do so, but for now, win7's built-in wireless facilities seem to be working fine for me.

Are you using Access Connections version 5.33?
Did you read the readme.txt file right beside the link to download access connections?
Did you read this part?
NOTES
- Before installing ThinkVantage Access Connections, it is required to install
the following software.
[For ThinkPad SL Series]
- ThinkPad Power Management Driver for SL Series for Windows Vista/XP
version 1.44 or higher.
- ATK Hotkey Driver for Windows Vista/XP
version 0.00.04.0 or higher.
[For the others]
- Lenovo System Interface Driver for Windows Vista
version 1.00.0702 or higher.
- ThinkPad Power Management Driver for Windows 98 SE/Me/2000/XP/Vista
version 1.42 or higher.
- Hotkey Features for Windows Vista/XP/2000
version 2.08.2008 or higher.
It is the hotkey driver that allows Fn + F5 to open access connections. -
hotkey works.. i have installed everything. Fn+F5 launches the enable/disable wifi/bluetooth dialogue. it's just that the other tab that allows me to choose profiles disappeared
thanks -
Wish I could help but as soon as I used access connections for the first time I uninstalled it right away and never went back.
-
I'm not sure what would cause that. I've never used windows7 either.
I can only think of two things to try.
1 - Sometimes having wireless profiles setup within the windows wireless manager can cause some conflicts with access connections. make sure that windows isn't managing your wireless connections. If you've created any profiles in the windows wireless manager delete them and then try connecting with access connections.
2- try uninstalling access connections and reinstalling it along with any other software required to work with it.
Can't think of anything else. There might be more info on Lenovo.com's support forums. -
thanks all!
