Currently I am using a Thinkpad X61s. Due to a recent change, in order to connect to the wired network in the office, I have to configure my office location profile with a static IP address, DNS etc. In the past, like any other networks, the IP and DNS were acquired automatically.

The problem I encountered now is when I go to "Location Switching", the priority list of location profiles (both WLAN and Ethernet) does not capture the new office profile. Therefore whenever I need to connect to the ethernet in the office I will have to manually select the office profile. In the past it will connect automatically.

Can someone be kind enough to help me out on this?

    Regards
