    Hi,

I'm concerned about backup lately. Now I have finally found the backup software I want to use for my NAS. Now I turn to my T500. All data files are taking care of so I just want to backup the "system". I have a T500 with preinstalled Vista Business - this means that I dont have Vista DVD's - only the ones I created for system restore - you know, the ones that installs the system as it were when I bought it.

I have the MS system backup program installed also (business). But as I read it, it will require a Vista DVD to initiate the restore (boot, whatever). So my first question is: Is the "System restore" DVS's created from the Thinkvantage menu valid as this initial restore?

I got a new harddrive some weeks ago and I tried the system restore, After boot it actually asks for some restore CD/DVD that is NOT the "return to initial installation mode" DVD's that I eventually used to reset the laptop to "purchase mode" (They were the last option in the list). I wonder - what system restore did the Thinkvantage boot CD ask for? Those created by Vista system backup or?

Hope you get my meaning here!
