When i click on the right or left trackpoint buttons, the trackpad will freeze up about 2 seconds . Is there anyway to fix it so i can use both trackpad and the buttons at the same time ? Or just my x220 has this problem ?

I have never spotted a problem like this.. I have used quite a few notebooks including some from Lenovo, but none had this problem.
if it has warranty send it.. otherwise I don't know any way of fixing it, without a fair chance of damaging it.

Turn down PalmCheck. The drivers temporarily suspend touchpad input on keyboard or TrackPoint activity.
