I recently recieved my z61m 9450 laptop and i'm loving it. However, I spotted something that doesn't make any sense to me when i run several different benchmarks inorder to see how my laptop performs. When i ran the PCmark05 my score was really low approx to 1350 benchmark points. I know for sure that this graphing card should perform around 2500 based of what i have read in other forums. Am i doing somethink wrong? Keep in mind that i have the latest drivers installed. Thanks in advance..

Check the Powerplay settings for your card (under Display Properties > Settings > Advanced > Powerplay) and make sure that it's not being clocked down when you try to run the benchmarks.

For some reason those settings don't seem to stick after a restart, even with profiles ... so yeah something to consider.

I was looking for powerplay and couldn't find it on the computer in my sig. any help?

I ran PCmark05 and got 1042 on my first run then changed some setting in the catalyst control center and got 1540 on my second run.

umm.... you do know that your sig says you have an X1300... much weaker than the X1400.

IIRC, it is a part of all ATI cards. but, everyone thinks you are talking about an X1400. those numbers you mention might be correct, someone else will know. you might want to edit your post and change it to x1300

After disabling the Powerplay option, i run the benchmark once more and still got close to 1350 points!!! that's so freaking weird

I ran my benchmarks on my X1300. I know this topic is talking about the X1400 but I just wanted to know if powerplay is a part of the X1300 software because I can't find it. I apologize for the vagueness of my post.
