I'm looking at the T400 with the discrete graphics option. I know a 'discrete' graphics card isn't fast but Im wondering if its acceptable with older games. I have quite a bit of down time between classes and I'd like to be able to hop on Counterstrike Source or Team Fortress 2 with an acceptable framerate. Does anyone have it and what kind of framerates do you get with your set up?

P.S. If I get it with discrete graphics will it delay my order?

First, it will run Source games near flawlessly. Second, no it will not slow down your order. Even though it probably won't play Crysis too well, it is very good on source and less demanding games. Hell, I can even play CoH on medium settings...

Awesome this is exactly the answer I wanted to hear. I forgot how well ATI cards run source. I remember I built a computer with a X300 for a client and it ran half-life 2 perfectly.

T400 should be OK for strategy games, such as GalCivII + expansions, Sins of a Solar Empire? I would get a strong CPU

Is T9400 fast enough since it has 6MB cache and clock speed of 2.53GHz?
