    AHCI driver for windows xp

    anyone find one that works?

    not even sure what AHCI is..but my t400 is missing the driver for it

    I am probably not the person to answer this, but it has something to do with your Serial ATA setting in the BIOS. I believe you need to go into the Configuration panel in the BIOS and change the Serial ATA setting from 'AHCI' to 'Compatibility'. I am unsure if this needs to be done prior to loading your O/S, or not. Hopefully someone else can confirm. Call Lenovo support desk -- they should be able to answer this question for you.
