I have the choice of getting an AC power adapter or a port replicator free with my T42. I chose the replicator. Would the power adapter be more useful?

There's a lot of talk about the difference between 1024 x 768 & 1280 x 1024 resolutions. I'm buying a T42 7323L1U that has 12 x 768, but the 1280 x 1024 is supposed to be better. But which is easier on your eyes? My eyes are aging and I sit at a pc all day. Which resolution is better?

I just switched my monitor at work to 1280 x 1024. Everything looks really small. I think that it would take awhile to get used to this resolution. Since it's not easy on the eyes, what are the advantages of that resolution?

well, you already get one AC adapter, usually most people don't need a second unless you want to leave one at work.

I think resolution is all dependant on the person, you really have to see it in person to know for yourself.

You'll get better detail at a higher resolution and you'll be able to see more of the screen. You won't be able to run the laptop at 1280x1024. It will be either XGA(1024x768) or SXGA(1400x1050). If you try to run it at another resolution it will probably be fuzzy. If you think 1280x1024 is small, you probably made the right decison by going with 1024x768.
