Hi, I am about to purchase a T42. The screen is a (Std) 14.1 inch SXGA+ (1400x1050) TFT Display with wide viewing angle and high density.

First off, what does it mean by wide viewing angle and high density?

I am mostly going to be useing this computer for word processing, and the internet and maybe a few games. Is the (1400x1050)a good resoultion for this? Will I be able to see the text well when I word process? Would I be better off getting a 1024x768 screen?

As of now I am planning on getting 256mg of ram. Is that enough?

Also, should I purchase some external speakers or are the internal ones that the computer comes with good enough?

I would really appreciate some feedback and also any other suggestions about the T42. Thank you very much!

512 megs of RAM will make a great increase in performance. It would make a bigger difference than a processor upgrade or the like. I like 1400x1050 because it gives me more space on the desktop, but it may be hard for some people to read. Try setting your computer to 1400x1050 and see if it is too small for you. It will only help in gaming if you have a video card beefy enough to support it, as slower cards will get choppy at that resolution.
