Lenovo decided to increase the optical size of the W510 from the 9.5mm to 12.7mm height drives, which I'm not terribly fond of, but the possibility for 1TB secondary drives would be nice.

Anyway, what they haven't seemed to list, is a 12.7mm Ultrabay SATA enclosure; TABook still lists the 43N3412 9.5mm SATA hdd enclosure as the applicable model for the W510. I have a knockoff one from my W500 that I'll likely continue to use until I can find one that is 12.7mm and fits flush, but I'm not thrilled about the impending gap.

I'm curious if anyone can post a picture of an Ultrabay Enhanced bay such as that used by the R6x & R400/500 series with a standard 9.5mm enclosure in it.

It doesn't have to be SATA. The R60/61 with the PATA/SATA 9.5mm adapter would be just fine.

I have one of these for my R60. It works fine, though the bezel isn't quite right, but there's no gap.

the hdd adapter for the R60/R61 is different to the R400/R500.... since the former uses a PATA connection and the latter uses the SATA connection.

I know, I'm just saying I need to see what it looks like.
