Given there are three types of keyboards for the t60, how does one go about getting the one he wants?

Must the keyboard have a defect for a person to be able to get a specific model free of charge? And if a person was able to order a new keyboard, does he have to return the old one or what?

    1. To get the one you want, buy it seperately.

    2. The keyboard must have some kind of defect to get a replacement; you can request a particular model and argue the reasons behind it, but that does not necessarily guarantee that you'll get that model (inventory issues, CSR's ignorance, etc.). You do not have to return the old one.

I have the Alps keyboard. It seems fine to me. Perhaps you should try it out before you figure out how to replace it.
