    Hello,

Thanks to the help of Tsunade_Hime, lead_org, bogatyr and other heroes, I have decided to buy this laptop and I already received it :D

But I am having an odd problem. Neather Windows 7 (64 bit) nor the ThinkVantage Updater have succeeded in installing my ethernet controller.
What's more, the device manager doesn't even display an ethernet adapter, only a wireless one.

When I download the driver manually ( http://download.lenovo.com/lenovo/content/ddfm/MIGR-74582.html?en_US#networking), I get the error "No Intel Network Connections found on this computer. No drivers were installed."

Any help would be greatly appreciated? :)

    Thanks!

Check your BIOS Security Settings, the Ethernet could be disabled

Ya make sure Ethernet is enabled, odd it would be disabled. OR other explanation is it is defective. Maybe try a Linux live disc to see if it is driver vs hardware?

If it's not showing up in device manager, I would call support.
