    guys i have 4 year old IBM x40 and i absolutely love it!it works flawlessly,and i thought some updates on it would be nice...so i want to know what parts can i upgrade on it.also where can i find new keyboard for it?thx.

    Have you tried Lenovo/IBM Parts & Accessories? You should be able to purchase a replacement KB for the X40 from them. I just received a new T61p that had a bad "w" key and they overnighted me a brand new KB. Very nice. Very easy to replace.

    Sorry. I don't have any information on upgrading CPUs. I'd open up a thread specifically regarding upgrading the CPU on the X40.

    I would upgrade the ram to the max it can accept. Other than that, I dont think there is much you can upgrade on it. check out thinkwiki for more info.
