Before I order mine, I have a few questions.

Does every model of the 15.4" T61 come with a media card reader? Or are they waiting to release that as one of the system expansion slots?

I want the higher resolution of the wsxga+ screen, but I have heard bad things. I assume there is no consensus (as with everything else on this forum) but I was just wondering what the specific issues were about it. I know it has been discussed a lot before, but I think someone will be able to sum it up faster than I could research it (and I need to get to work :) ).

    Thanks.

Yes, there is a 4-1 media card slot in the front of every T61 15.4". It comes standard.

Someone else will have to chime in on the other question.

Basically it boils down to this... There are two manufactures they use for the 15.4 wsxga+ LG/Phillips and Samsung (both the t60/t61). Most if not all are happy with the LG/Phillips screen. Most if not all are disappointed with the Samsung screen. I had the samsung screen since feb and just sold it because I didn't want to be stuck with it. It wasn't the end of the world, but I didn't want to spend the next 2-3 years staring at it. Bad viewing angles when looking straight on, the whites were kinda grainy grayish, and it was about two notches dimmer than a T60 WXGA samsung screen. Blah!

You've got a 50/50 chance when you order...

If I get the Samsung, would Lenovo frown upon me hitting it with a hammer and saying it was broken when I got it?

How can you determine which model you have?
