Dear possible Lenovo-User,
I would like to share my story with you so that you know what you might admit to if you go with Lenovo:
A few months ago a bought a T440s supreme Business-Notebook. Unfortunately my machine features an odd “childhood disease”?! Once the fan is on, it stays on! Even if windows gets restarted – while the fan is on – and you go directly into BIOS. Except when I send windows into sleeping-mode und the temperature is on starting up low enough the fan stops. Thus this disease has nothing to do with windows respectively me.
So Lenovo sends the first technician in order to exchange the fan. Unfortunately, Lenovo sends the technician the wrong fan model, which pops up after opening the machine. Troublesome.
A few days later another “technician” comes over. This man even swap the whole mainboard! Smear heat paste over my machine and opens it again to exchange the fan. Yet the disease remains … Perplexity.
So what is Lenovo doing now? Lenovo wants to conduct further research with my machine in order to dig deeper and look for that odd reason for this fan behavior.
And the moral of this story is:
1.) I bought an expensive “Business-Notebook” which I cannot use properly, especially when it shall be send to some service center for further investigations. That is not the purpose I bought an expensive Business-Notebook!
2.) So far the machine got open many times so that beneath my left and especially my right heel of hand the machine makes excruciating creaky/squeaky sounds. The brackets are worn out! This is what you call a Lenovo supreme notebook brand quality.
All in all Lenovo is totally unfazed or let me put it this way: The customer doesn’t matter for Lenovo. “Let us tinker with that machine until it might work and since it is not our machine who cares if we cannot use it…!”
Dear potential Lenovo-Buyer/User, might I suggest you this question: Do you really want to admit to such a behavior towards customers?
I better would have avoided this anger.

lenovo has really gone down the tubes, you will get your occasional fan boy on here that refuses to admit it, i would steer clear, i have a few family members and including myself that can relate to your experience.. i am just done with them

Plus on top what Lenovo does not understand: A customer should not pay full price for an expensive business notebook that does not work properly and sounds like it travelled at least three times around the world.
I'm done with them as well. -
I feel the pain. When I had issues with my display and the "technician" came in to switch it, he broke some of the tabs that hold the bottom case and damaged the bezel. I didn't let him finish, said "just leave it" and return the machine.
I was hesitant but ordered a new one, this time touch screen. All great since feb last year.
It's like kinder egg you never know what to expect when you order a notebook from Lenovo nowadays.
