Howdy! I got my fan fixed by lenovo. The MINUTE I got it back it felt different. Is this good or bad? SO far bad! I don't know what is happening but the NOTEBOOK is dieing. For example: where the PCMCIA is there's a bump. The case is not complete... Also on the bottom of the notebook where the infared is. There's a Little loose. Did a lenovo jak in the box drop this thing? I need some help on how to fix this stupid PROBLEM with the PCMCIA thing.

I'm assuming that it's the R40 in his signature.

It's really difficult to tell what the issue is from what you've written. What do you mean by a 'bump?' Could you perhaps take some pictures?

Most of his stuff is pretty over the top, and confusing to understand. In that thread its mentioned he owns a T60 now or returned it or something. No idea what is going on.

On THE LEFT SIDE of the R40 there is the edge. Where the plastic meets the audio. Does this have to be glued shut? I am talkng about where the USB and Audio meet.

Oh, I'm well aware of that. I think we managed to work out that he actually had a Z60m (maybe) that he got all cranky about.

Okay, so based on this and a picture of an R40 that I found, it sounds like the palmrest might have been reinstalled poorly, leaving a gap between it and the rest of the case. Right?

If that's the situation, you should probably just take it off and reinstall it yourself (or have you already done that?). Don't glue anything!
