90W enough to charge a T61p with ultrabay battery?

I'm thinking of buying an Ultrabay battery. Anyone knows if the normal 90W charger can charge both the 9 cell battery and the Advanced Ultrabay battery?

Also, anyone knows if the ThinkVantage Power Manager can also set thresholds (like setting the battery to start charging when below 65% and to stop charging at 85%) for the second battery (the one that will be in the second threshold)?

I don't have an ultrabay battery but from what I remember, it always drains the ultrabay battery first and also doesn't allow you to set threshholds for it.

I don't see why a 90watt adapter couldn't charge both batteries. It'll probably top off one and then charge the other.

My 65 watt chanrger will run the machine and slowly charge a nine cell.

I don't think a ninety watt charger will have any trouble with an ultrabay battery.

I wanted an ultrabay batter at first but after reading about the way power management uses it, I am glad I didn't get it.

Only one battery can charge at any given time and the main battery will recharge first before the UltraBay battery. However, if the main battery is removed and reinstalled while the UltraBay battery is recharging, the UltraBay battery will finish recharging completely before the main battery is recharged.

OK. I thought it would charge both at the same time. Then 90W isn't a problem.

What about the thresholds? Is it possible to set them to the Advanced Ultrabay Battery?
Someone already said no, but in the ThinkVantage Power Manager I see an option to change the battery installed (and, consequently, its management)... Just want to be sure.

Yes You can set thresholds for the ultrabay battery. I have one.

If you don't feel like taking out the main battery but want to charge the ultrabay you can just set a threshold with conditions that will stop charging it and then the laptop will charge the ultrabay

ummmmm - does Lenovo offer anything more powerful than 90W? Isn't this kind of an academic question?

Yes. There's a 120W AC adapter for the Ideapads.
