Anyone know much about the new slim combo adapter? The power brick that came with my T61 is just a little too chunky for me to want to carry it around every day, so this looks like a good (though pricey) alternative.

The press release says it's about the size of a deck of playing cards, but the specs on the product page say that it's .7 inches longer, a full inch wider, and a couple ounces heavier than the regular adapter

I got one of these for review, which should be up in the next week or so. I have it at my feet right now.. want to know anything specific about it?

It literally looks like a 90w adapter that was flattened. They both take up about the same 3 dimensional space. Thickness is about the same as a pack of cards, but length wise maybe 2 decks put side by side.

Thanks Kevin! That pretty much covers it. Thinner is better, even if it has the same bulk in all other respects. I'll keep an eye peeled for the review (although I can't imagine it'll be very fun to test or write).

I've had one on order since late December. Annoying. It was supposed to release 1/9 if I remember correctly. My guess from looking around is they are starting to rebrand/remarket things as ThinkPad/IdeaPad, so everything that was coming out probably got caught up in switchover.

Wow. I'd better order one now so I can get in line.

Guess not everything goes as planned :)
Last I checked it was 2/10, which is a couple of days past 1/8.
