    Hey everyone:

I'm thinking of picking one of these up for my ThinkPad. I was wondering if any owners out there could say something about this device... and if possible, speak to its compatibility with the iPhone 3G.

    Thanks!

I have one for my T60.

Pros: works as advertised. certainly very slim, so it fits in slim bag if that matters to you. having the car and plane power plugs is nice. with the tips that come with it, a friend that might have a different thinkpad can borrow it etc which sometimes comes in handy. i don't have any of the additional power tips but i'm sure the ipod/iphone tip would work just fine (have to buy that tip separately).

Cons: While thinner, does not seem any "smaller" subjectively speaking than the standard 90W adapter that came with the machine. also a bit heavier i believe, so i end up taking the standard one with me normally and using the slim as a spare or for trips where i'm going to use the car/plane parts.

If I had to do it again, I probably wouldn't spend the money. But it has come in handy a few times.

I was considering buying one of these when I got my Thinkpad but decided against it when I saw that it was heavier than the included 65W adapter.

I have one for my T61p. It really is heavier than the standard 90W and, like pavlova already mentioned it doesn't feel any smaller than the standard adapter.

However, it is prettier and it does have changeable tips: you can use it in a car/plane and use it to charge other devices (as long as you buy the corresponding tip).

As I really need two adapters, I'd buy it again...

It has a plug for the iPhone, and you wont be disappointed if you get this ac adapter. It comes with plane, car and house adapters. I bring the bag with me and I can use my thinkpad anywhere, which adds a REALLY nice peace of mind. Get it you wont regret it.
