Hi,
My T420 came with a 7mm Hitachi 7200RPM HD. I'm looking to upgrade to a 9.5mm SSD, but I noticed that the hitachi drive came with rubber fittings that hold the drive in place and they don't seem like they will fit a 9.5mm drive... Is it OK to just install the 9.5mm drive without them?
Also, will the metal rail (that the hitachi drive is screwed to) fit a 9.5mm drive?
Thanks in advance!

My T420 also came with a 7mm Hitachi HD and unfortunately, the rubber rails will not fit in the 9.5mm WD HD that I wanted to upgrade to. After searching around, I determine that the part number for the 9.5mm rubber rails is 41V9756. I bought the 9.5mm rubber rail from ebay for $4.99 (free shipping).
