hey guys. i have 2 questions and am hoping to get some answers

    1) my x201's 9 cell battery currently has 284 cycle count and is only able to hold about 70% of its original capacity according the the power manager. is there a seller on ebay that sells good quality 3rd party 9 cell batteries or would i be better going with a lenovo branded battery. would the software detect a difference?

    2) i recently got my hands on a intel 6205 centrino wifi card, i know the x201's bios won't boot with it so i was wondering where i would be able to find a bios with no such restriction. If so, how would i update the bios once new revisions are released by lenovo? will i have to get it "unlocked" again? ( sorry if this topic is not allowed.)

Yes the Power Manager will detect the third party battery and will complain about it. Personally I stick with OEM branded batteries because you can never be sure what you're getting with third party batteries from eBay.

You can try this site for the X201 whitelisted BIOS. Of course dealing with any BIOS flashing should be done with caution.
