    I was looking into buying one, but the Official Lenovo ones are around $80 which is a bit too much for me. The third party batteries are a lot cheaper, but I personally prefer to avoid third party battery vendors - especially those from China.

    Uh... where do you think Lenovo is made? ;)

    Lenovo, which was started in China and is headquartered in Beijing.
    The company was incorporated in Hong Kong in 1988 and would grow to be the largest PC company in China. Legend Holdings changed its name to Lenovo in 2004 and, in 2005, acquired the former Personal Computer Division of IBM, the company that invented the PC industry in 1981.

    Adding: Also the number one SSD out there is the Samsung 850 Series. Guess where that is made at?

    Looks like I'll be the first one then. I just got mine in the USPS mail yesterday. Very well packaged. Only took two days to get here. Extends the notebook up an inch, but I like that as it helps keep air flow under the computer. Only weighs a few ounces more than the 6 cell battery. Fully charged up in 15 minutes. I'll run it on battery tomorrow and see how long it last running 10 open websites and using Photoshop CS6 & HTP editing program at the same time. That is my everyday use.

    NOTE:
    Along with my 9 cell Battery, times should improve with my new Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SSD
    Improved Energy Efficiency
    The 850 EVO delivers significantly longer battery life on your notebook* with a controller designed and optimized for 3D V-NAND that supports Device Sleep for Windows at a highly efficient 2mW. The 850 EVO supports 25% better power efficiency than the 840 EVO during write operations thanks to ultra-efficient 3D V-NAND only consuming half the energy than that of traditional Planar 2D NAND.

    Good check your times with and without the SLI, also quote details of the apps you'll be running.

    I have coming any day now off eBay:
    * DDR3 16GB Memory
    * Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III SSD
    * HDD caddy for Ultrabay also coming via eBay

    The 1TB HDD SATA II HDD will be put in Ultrabay
    That should really speed things up.
    One of the big complaints I seen in the 463 pages owners threads is poor battery life.
    Well, I took care of that by getting a aftermarket 9 cell battery.
    It lasted 7:26 hours doing basic stuff. When I get the SSD & memory installed,
    that should improve battery life even more. I'll test it then doing the exact same things
    and another test doing a few hours of Adobe CS6 work which should be a better test.

    Oh yeah, I will be doing some kind of custom paint on this. See my sig for former paint jobs.
