This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    802.11n - not quite yet

    Although the Lenovo main pages for Thinkpad xx-series state "Select models ... feature new ThinkPad 11n Multiple Input/Multiple Output (MIMO) wireless technology" this option is not yet available in the actual configuration selections. Since they say "Thinkpad 11n" and not "Intel 11n" I wonder if the up and coming 11n option will be an Atheros AR5008 chipset (as I've always preferred the Atheros wireless chipset family vs. Intel, I hope so..)

    More than likely Lenovo will have an Intel 11N because of the Centrino package.
