    Hi all,

I just ordered a Thinkpad T61 (6465CT). I ordered it with the 7200 RPM - 100 GB hard drive. Are all of the 7200 RPM drives now 7K200's, or is only the 200 GB option using the newer 7K200's?

    Thanks for the clarification.

You'll probably find out when you get it.

I presume that means "there are multiple types in the T61"? I ask b/c it seems as though the new model has some pretty impressive performance improvements over the older generation.

I got mine a little over a month ago and 100GB 7200 rpm meant 7K100 in that case.

What's funny is that if you look online, the 7K200 100 GB is just about the same price as the 7K100 100 GB

I got this drive in Mid August:

    Seagate Momentus 7200.1 100GB SATA/150 7200 RPM 2.5 inch 8MB

(Not really impressed at all with its performance)
