I have the stock Lenovo 65W adapter that came with the laptop, and it gets uncomfortably hot sometimes. I'm wondering if I should just invest in the 90W model?
Or is it fine for the adapter to be hot? I can hold it for a good 10-15 seconds before it starts to become uncomfortable.

The 65W adapter is perfectly capable of powering even the larger 15" laptops that also have full-voltage CPUs and integrated graphics. I wouldn't worry about it getting hot, especially if it's only when your laptop is being stressed + charging the battery. Just don't go wrapping it in blankets or anything like that and it'll be fine.
You are correct in that the 90W adapter will likely run cooler and possibly charge your battery a bit faster, however. -
Thanks for the reply. Yeah, the laptop was in use and the battery was charging this morning when it was hot. I'll have to compare how it feels when in use, but not charging.
I thought maybe the IPS display sucked more power than its TN counterpart (I've heard IPS takes more power in general), and it was something overlooked by Lenovo when pairing up power adapters.
