Just got my 9-cell 15.4'' T61. Basically I am happy with it.

The thing I dont like is that I have a 9 cell battery which has an extended portion. :( Before purchase, I asked about the size of a 9-cell battery here but it seems I got wrong information. I may want to buy another 6 cell battery for easier carriage. (easier?)

I simply wanted to how long a 6 cell battery usually lasts on a 15.4'' T61.

The second thing: if I put my 9 cell battery on T61, how can I put it in case?I normally put my laptop back-end to the bottom of a case. If I do this to this T61, will that easily damage my battery or its connection to the system?
Wanted to know how you guys handle this situation.

    Many thanks!

Hey man, you should get around 2.5 - 3 hours on a 6 cell battery.

I recommend flipping it around in your case so that the screen latch is on the bottom because with the 9 cell battery, the part that sticks out inst the entire width of the notebook and yes I would assume that damage could be done if dropped.

Few questions for you man, what is your configuration and how is the build quality? Does the screen cover feel strong, or does it feel like cheap plastic? Finally, is the Thinklight bright enough or is it just awful?

Thanks man and any other questions you have just shoot!

I bought 512M RAM. Planning to buy 4G to install myself.

I feel the bulid quality is okay. You can feel the plastic, but not cheap :)
